Mr. Rossi is also Chairman and majority owner of Aireko Companies and Chairman of Aireko Foundation. In Aireko Josen has led fast-track CM/GC and Design-Build Construction of innovative institutional and industrial work that contributes to the modernization of Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Florida and the Mid Atlantic U.S. for their sustainable industrial and economic development.
As Aireko Companies managing partner Josen oversees international growth, the allocation of capital to new markets and products, and the growth of third generation partners and managers. Mr Rossi has led various Puerto Rico business and non-profit boards, leading the creation of some, such as the Puerto Rico Institute for a Competitive and Sustainable Economy (PR-ICSE). As Aireko Foundation president Josen directs its yearly philanthropic investments in Puerto Rico and U.S. education for the needy, including the arts and sciences of entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
As chairman of the ICSE-PR he oversees growth in funding, education and alliance building with Puerto Rico business and U.S. NGO leaders for the capacity building of democratic institutions fundamental to sustainable socio-economic reform and development, such as key public infrastructure governance and regulation.
He holds a BSCE from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
Board Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer
Ms. Waleska Rivera is the President of Danosa Caribbean, Inc., the region’s leading waterproofing membranes manufacturer. She was Chairwoman of the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association (PRMA) from 2013 to 2015, she currently serves as President of the Association’s Internationalization Committee leading a number of initiatives as part of PRMA’s Strategic Hemispheric Agenda.
Ms. Rivera has received a number of awards and recognitions including being named a Top 10 Business Leaders of Puerto Rico by Caribbean Business for the last three consecutive years. She is currently Vise-president and Secretary of the Board of the ICSSE-PR.
Ms. Rivera holds a BA with honors in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and an MBA in Industrial Management from Inter American University.
Juan A. Larrea
Mr. Larrea currently serves as President of South American Restaurants Corp., the Church’s Chicken franchisee, President of PT, Inc., the Pollo Tropical franchisee, President of South American Capital, a Real Estate company and Chairman of the Board of Caribbean Glaze Corp., the Krispy Kreme Doughnut franchisee.
Prior to joining the Larrea Group, Mr. Larrea served in various senior management roles at PepsiCo and VISA International, where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Multinational Accounts for Latin America and the Caribbean Region with Visa International.
He holds a B.S. in Marketing from Babson College in Boston, MA and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, AZ.
José R. Fernández
José R. Fernández is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of OFG Bancorp and its primary subsidiary, Oriental Bank, since 2004. He is also Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Oriental’s other subsidiaries, Oriental Financial Services, Oriental Insurance and Oriental Pension Consultants.
Since joining Oriental in 1991, Mr. Fernández has managed each of the group’s core businesses, playing a major role in Oriental becoming a leader in wealth management, trust and retirement services in Puerto Rico. Since becoming CEO in 2004, he also has focused on developing Oriental’s commercial banking platform, helping make Oriental one of Puerto Rico’s leading banking-financial services companies today.
During the past years Oriental has stand out for its solid financial results, and for becoming a pioneer first-to-market innovative services that have been key to the local banking industry evolution. From 2011 until 2016, Mr. Fernández was a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s new Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, which provides insight to the New York Fed from the perspective of community depository institutions.
He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, Puerto Rico; Member of the Business Advisory Board of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business, Member of the Advisory Board for the Puerto Rico Conservation Trust and former President of Puerto Rico’s Banker’s Association.
Mr. Fernández holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and a Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Michigan in Ann Harbor, Michigan.

Mr. Rivera Velez currently serves as Vice President of Stryker Corporation. Previously he has held positions as Manufacturing and General Manager for the Edwards Lifesciences Manufacturing Operation in Puerto Rico and its counterpart of Medical Balloons in California, also at Johnson & Johnson, Allergan, Advanced Medical Optics, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Carlos is also an entrepreneur with his leadership in multiple extracurricular activities in several fields and is former president of the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Association.
